وہ اس حلیے میں کتنا اچھا لگتا ہے۔
"لگتا
ہے آج نظر لگا کر ہی مانو گی۔"

اس کے قریب بیٹھتے ہوئے بولا:
"کیا
مطلب؟ میں نے تمہیں دیکھا بھی نہیں۔"
وہ
اس کے کہنے پر گڑبڑا گئی۔
"سچ
سچ بتاؤ… اچھا لگ رہا ہوں نہ؟"
وہ
بھنویں اٹھاتے اس کی طرف دیکھ رہا تھا۔
"کیوں؟
لندن والوں کو اپنی تعریف کروانے کا شوق ہوتا ہے؟"
اس
نے سوال کے بدلے سوال مارا۔ سیدھا جواب دینا اسے آتا ہی نہیں تھا۔
"نہیں
نہیں… ہمیں تو آپ جیسوں کی تعریف کرنے کا شوق ہے۔"
:
"ویسے،
تم سچ میں اتنی خوبصورت ہو یا صرف مجھے لگتی ہو؟"
وہ
اس کی پیشانی پر آتے بالوں کو انگلیوں کی پوروں سے پیچھے کرتا گیا،

مجھے تو لگا لندن میں میرے جیسی کوئی اور مل گئی ہوگی۔"

ہلکی مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ بولی۔

تو چھوڑو… پوری کائنات میں نہیں ملے گی۔

کافی کا کپ لیے کرسی سے نیچے اتر کر گھٹنوں کے بل بیٹھ گیا۔
"کیا
تم… ماہرہ افندی…
میری
ماہا بنو گی؟
کیا
میں اپنے نکاح نامے پر تمہارا آٹوگراف لے سکتا ہوں؟
ائی
