اس کی آواز میں شکایت کم اور فکر زیادہ تھی۔
زیان
نے اس کی طرف دیکھا مگر اس بار وہ فوراً جواب نہیں دے سکا۔ کیونکہ وہ جانتا تھا کہ
وہ دور جا نہیں رہا تھا وہ کسی ایسی چیز کے قریب جا رہا تھا جو خطرناک بھی ہو سکتی
تھی اور سچ بھی۔ اور پھر اندر کی طرف چل دیے۔ وہ دونوں آہستہ آہستہ گھر کے اندر آ گئے۔
ڈرائنگ روم میں ہلکی سی روشنی تھی اور سب اپنے اپنے کاموں میں مصروف تھے۔
زیان
نے آیت کو ایک نظر دیکھا اور پھر بولنے سے پہلے تھوڑا رکا جیسے الفاظ چن رہا ہو۔ “آیت…
اگر کبھی تمہیں لگے کہ میں بدل رہا ہوں تو…” وہ رک گیا اور پھر آہستہ سے کہا “بس اتنا
سمجھنا کہ کچھ چیزیں مجھے مجبور کر رہی ہیں۔”

نے اس کی طرف دیکھا، اس کی آنکھوں میں کئی سوال تھے مگر وہ کچھ کہہ نہ سکی۔
زیان نے اپنی نظر ہٹا لی اور سیڑھیوں کی طرف بڑھ گیا۔ آیت وہیں کھڑی اسے
دیکھتی رہی۔ اسے اندازہ نہیں تھا کہ زیان جس راستے پر چل رہا ہے وہ صرف اس کے ماضی
تک محدود نہیں رہا بلکہ اب وہ ایک ایسے سچ کے قریب جا رہا تھا جو سب کچھ بدل سکتا تھا۔
زیان
سیڑھیاں چڑھتا ہوا سیدھا اپنے کمرے میں آ گیا مگر اس بار دروازہ بند کرنے کے بعد بھی
اسے سکون نہیں ملا۔ کمرے کی خاموشی آج پہلے جیسی نہیں تھی ہر چیز جیسے اس کے اردگرد
سوال بن کر کھڑی تھی۔

بیڈ کے کنارے بیٹھ گیا اور ایک لمحے کو آنکھیں بند کر لیں مگر مکینک کی وہ بات پھر
ذہن میں آ گئی کہ بریک لائن کے ساتھ چھیڑ چھاڑ ہوئی تھی۔ زیان نے ہاتھ زور سے بالوں
میں پھیرا اور آہستہ سے بڑبڑایا، “یہ حادثہ نہیں تھا…”
نیچے
ڈرائنگ روم میں آیت اکیلی بیٹھی تھی۔ گھر میں معمول کی آوازیں تھیں مگر اس کے اندر
عجیب سا خلا تھا۔ وہ بار بار زیان کی باتوں کے بارے میں سوچ رہی تھی، اس کی آنکھوں
میں وہ ادھورا سا درد اسے بےچین کر رہا تھا۔ آیت نے آہستہ سے اپنا فون اٹھایا اور بے
دھیانی میں اسکرین آن کر دی لیکن کچھ دیکھے بغیر ہی بند کر دیا۔ اسے خود سمجھ نہیں
آ رہا تھا کہ وہ کیا محسوس کر رہی ہے، بس اتنا جانتی تھی کہ زیان پہلے جیسا نہیں رہا۔
