۔”کیا سوچ رہے ہیں؟“۔ عبیرہ بیگم نے دائود صاحب کے پاس بیٹھتے ہوئے پوچھا۔
۔”کچھ نہیں، بس تاشفین اور کشور کے مطالبے کے بارے میں سوچ رہا تھا“۔
۔”کیوں آپ کو کوئی پریشانی ہے تاشفین کو لے کر؟ یا آپ نے یہاں رشتہ کرنے میں ہچکچا
رہے ہیں“۔
۔”ارے نہیں ، تاشفین تو گھر کا ہی بچہ ہے۔ یہاں چھان بین کرنے کی بھی کوئی ضرورت
نہیں ہے۔ لیکن میں چا رہا تھا کہ کشور کو ابھی ہم ایک دو سال تک انتظار کرنے کا کہہ
دیتے ہیں۔ ابھی ہم پہلے سنیہا کا فرض تو پورا کر دیں پھر ماہلب کا بھی سوچ لیں گے۔ ہمیں
اتنی جلدی نہیں ہے“۔ دائود صاحب نے تکیے سے پشت لگاتے ہوئے کہا۔
۔”کشور کونسا ابھی شادی کرنے کا کہہ رہی ہے۔ وہ بس رشتہ پکا کرنا چاہتی ہے۔ شادی تو
ظاہر سی بات ہے ہم ابھی تو نہیں کر سکتے۔ کم سے کم چھ مہینے تو لیں گے۔ کیونکہ ماہلب
کی شادی کی تیاریاں بھی تو کرنی ہوگی“۔
۔”یعنی تم نے سوچ لیا ہے کہ کشور کو جواب ”ہاں“ ہی دینا ہے“۔ دائود صاحب نے مسکراتے
ہوئے پوچھا ۔
۔”ہاں تو تاشفین میں کمی ہی کیا ہے۔ وہ تو کشور نے ہمیں اپنا سمجھ کر اپنے اتنے الئق فائق
بھائی کے لیے ہماری ماہلب کو دیکھا۔ ورنہ تاشی کو اچھے رشتوں کی کمی ہے کیا۔ آپ کی
کزن بتول باجی بھی تو اپنی بیٹی قرت کے لیے تاشفین پر نظر جمائے بیٹھی ہیں۔ ان کا تو
بس نہیں چلتا کہ وہ خود اپنے منہ سے ہی اپنی بیٹی کے لیے تاشی کا رشتہ مانگ لیں۔ اگر
ادھر ہم نے تھوڑی دیر کی تو وہ ایسا کر بھی گزریں گی۔ ان سے کوئی بعید نہیں۔ ابھی تک
تو شاید تاشفین کے واپس آنے کا انتیظار کر رہی تھیں“۔ دائود صاحب نے بلکل صحیح کہا
تھا عبیرہ بیگم تو پہلے سے ہی سوچ کر بیٹھی تھیں کہ ماہلب کے لیے تاشفین کو ہاں میں
ہی جواب دین گی۔
۔”ہمم، تم ٹھیک کہہ رہی ہو۔ لیکن ہم یوں ہتیلی پر سرسوں تو نہیں جما سکتے نا۔ پہلے
ماہلب سے پوچھنا بھی ضروری ہے۔ ایسا کرو تم ایک، دو دن میں ماہلب سے اس کی مرضی
کا پوچھو پھر کشور کو جواب دیتے ہیں“۔ دائود صاحب نے سوچتے ہوئے کہا۔
۔”آپ کو پتا ہے وہ تو انکار ہی کرے گی“۔
۔”کیوں“۔ دائود صاحب نے حیرت سے پوچھا۔
۔”کیا آپ نہیں جانتے کتنا چڑتی ہے وہ تاشی سے“۔
