"محبت؟
آپ جیسے لوگ صرف حسن کے دیوانے ہوتے ہیں، محبت کے نہیں۔ جہاں حسن دیکھا، وہیں دل پھینک

چھوڑو میرا!" عروبہ نے غصے سے اپنا ہاتھ جھٹک دیا اور ایک زوردار تھپڑ اس کے چہرے
پر رسید کر دیا تھا ۔
"تمہاری ہمت کیسے ہوئی میرا ہاتھ پکڑنے کی؟
تم جیسے امیر زادے بس اپنی ہوس پوری کرنے کے لیے محبت کا نام لیتے ہیں۔"

کا چہرہ سرخ ہو گیا تھا نہ جانے وہ غصے سے تھا یا بے عزتی سے، وہ کچھ پل اپنی جگہ سے
ہل نہ سکا ۔ پہلی بار زندگی میں کسی نے اس پے ہاتھ اٹھایا تھا وہ بھی محبت کے اظہار
کرنے پے ۔ اس کے لیئے یقین کرنا مشکل تھا ۔ اور پھر اس نے خاموشی سے اپنا سر جھکایا
اور پیچھے ہٹ گیا۔ اس کی آنکھوں میں غصے کے ساتھ درد بھی تھا، لیکن وہ ایک لفظ بھی
کہے بغیر پلٹ گیا اور سیڑھیوں کی طرف اتراتا چلا گیا تھا ۔
"
آئیندہ اپنی حد میں رہنا، ورنہ انجام اچھا نہیں ہوگا۔" عروبہ نے سرد لہجے میں
پیچھے سے کہا تھا ۔ وہ اپنے اندر کے اشتعال کو دباتا نکلتا چلا گیا تھا ۔
