"بڑی بات ہے اپنے حقوق کی ناقدری ہوتے دیکھ کر بھی ٹھیک ہیں آپ سب۔" اس کے کہنے پر ہال میں بیٹھی تمام عورتوں کے ماتھوں پر الجھن بھری لکیریں واضح ہوئی تھیں۔

"کیا کچھ غلط کہا میں نے؟" ان کی الجھن بھانپتے ہوئے پوچھا گیا۔

" کیا یہاں آنے کیلئے اپنے گھر کے مردوں کی منت نہیں کی آپ نے؟ کسی نے بھائی کی ، کسی نے شوہر کی اور کسی نے بیٹے کی؟  کیا عورت کو ہمیشہ یوں ہی مرد کی اجازت درکار رہے گی؟ کیا اس کا خود پر ،اپنی زندگی پر کوئی حق نہیں؟  وہ بولنے لگی تو فضا میں ایک طلسم سا پھیل گیا۔ ہال میں چلتی ہوا بھی رک کر اسے سننے لگی۔ ہال میں موجود ہر نفوس اسی کی طرف کان لگائے بیٹھا تھا۔ جب وہ بولتی تھی تو لوگ یوں ہی خاموشی سے اسے سنا کرتے تھے۔ اس کے الفاظ فضاء میں یوں ہی ایک طلسم سا جاری کردیتے تھے۔

"خدا نے تو دونوں کو آزاد پیدا کیا ہے پھر کیوں ہر جگہ ہمیں مردوں کا محتاج بن کر رہنا پڑتا ہے؟ آخر کیوں؟ کیا یہ ہماری حق تلفی نہیں؟ کیا عورت کا خود پر کوئی حق نہیں؟" اس کے چہرے پر ہمدردی تھی، افسوس تھا۔ عورت کی حالتِ زار پر تاسف کا اظہار کیا جارہا تھا۔
