نے مڑ کر دیکھا۔

اس کی اہلیہ، زہرہ بنت خالد تھی۔
زہرہ
ایک باوقار اور سمجھدار خاتون تھی۔ اس کی آنکھوں میں نرمی تھی، مگر اس کے اندر ایک
مضبوط حوصلہ چھپا ہوا تھا۔ وہ جانتی تھی کہ ایک سردار کی زندگی صرف جنگوں سے نہیں بلکہ
فیصلوں کے بوجھ سے بھی بھری ہوتی ہے۔
ایوب
نے ہلکی مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ کہا، "کبھی کبھی انسان ماضی کے ملبے میں مستقبل کی بنیاد
تلاش کرتا ہے۔"
زہرہ
نے قریب آ کر کہا، "اور کبھی کبھی اللہ انسان کو ایسا وارث عطا کرتا ہے جو اس
کے خواب پورے کرتا ہے۔"
ایوب
چند لمحے خاموش رہا۔
اس
کے دل میں ایک خواہش تھی، ایک ایسی خواہش جو دن بہ دن شدت اختیار کر رہی تھی۔ وہ چاہتا
تھا کہ اس کے بعد کوئی ایسا ہو جو بنو زیدان کی عزت کو قائم رکھے، جو کمزوروں کے لیے
طاقت بنے، اور جو ظلم کے سامنے سر نہ جھکائے۔
اور
پھر یکایک اس کے چہرے پر ایک عجیب سی چمک آ گئی۔ اس کی آنکھوں میں وہ روشنی جاگ اٹھی
جو کسی بڑے عزم سے پہلے جاگا کرتی ہے۔ اس نے زہرہ کی طرف دیکھا اور اس کے لبوں پر ایک
ایسی مسکراہٹ پھیلی جو خالص امید سے بنی تھی۔ وہ لمحہ جیسے اس کی تمام بے چینی کو سکون
میں بدل گیا۔
اس
نے آسمان کی طرف دیکھا اور آہستہ سے کہا، "اگر اللہ نے مجھے بیٹا عطا کیا، تو
میں اسے صرف تلوار چلانا نہیں سکھاؤں گا... میں اسے انصاف کرنا سکھاؤں گا۔"
زہرہ
کے چہرے پر مسکراہٹ آ گئی۔
