ایک 16 سال کی لڑکی کی کہانی ہے۔ اسے ہسپتال کی غلط رپورٹ کی وجہ سے گھر سے نکال دیتے ہے ۔ اس کا چچا غیرت کی نام پے اسے نکال دیتا ہے رات کو گھر سے۔اور بڑی پھوپھو اس کے چاچو کا ساتھ دیتی ہے یوں اسے 16 کی عمر میں نکال دیتے۔ اس ناول میں ایک لڑکی کی کہانی ہے جو دنیا سے اپنے حق اور جینے کے لئے لڑتی ہے ۔ پھر اس کی زندگی میں ایک چھوٹا بچہ 5 سال کا آتا ہے۔ وہ ایک فلسطینی بچہ ہوتا ہے اسے پاکستانی کپل گود لیتے ہے لیکن پھر چھوڑ دیتے ہے تو وہ لڑکا اس کا حلیمہ یزدان رکھتی ہے۔ وہ اسے بچوں کی طرح پالتی ہے ۔ یوں وہ اپنے خونی رشتوں کو یہ یقین کرانہ کوششوں میں لگ جاتی ہے کہ وہ ایک پاک اور جائز اولاد ہے اور پھر حالات سے مقابلہ کرنے والی بہادر لڑکی موت کے آگے بےبس ہو جاتی ہے اور مرجاتی ہے۔ اس کہانی میں یہ بتادو کہ ثمینہ کا رول بہت اہم ہے وہ حلیمہ کی دوست ہوتی ہے اور مشکل وقت میں اس کا ساتھ دیتی ہے ۔ رہی بات یزدان کی تو اسے حسان نامی ہیرو پالتا ہے وہ حلیمہ کو پسند کرتا ہے اور ان کی شادی نہیں ہوپاتی لیکن حلیمہ کی سچائی اور یزدان کو وہ پالتا ہے اور مرنے تک شادی نہیں کرتا۔
