صاحب زخموں کے باوجود نظر جمائے ہوئے تھے ):

پھر دفن ہونے کے لیے تیار ہو جاؤ۔(سفیر کے چہرے پر طنزیہ ہنسی آئی ):
(وہ
اٹھتا ہے، گن نکالتا ہے، آگے بڑھتا ہے۔ راحیم صاحب رسیوں سے ہاتھ کھینچتا ہے — زخمی
کلائیوں سے خون بہتا ہے۔ اگلے لمحے وہ ایک زور دار جھٹکے سے خود کو آزاد کر لیتا ہے۔)
(زمین
پر پڑی ایک گن کی طرف جھپٹتا ہے، گن اٹھاتا ہے، دونوں ایک لمحے کے لیے آمنے سامنے ہوتے
ہیں — جیسے وقت تھم گیا ہو — اور پھر گولیاں چلتی ہیں۔)
(دھماکہ
دار آواز، شعلے، اور دونوں جسم فرش پر گر پڑتے ہیں — ایک ساتھ، ایک انجام، ایک خاموشی۔)
