“کہاں
جا سکتی ہے…؟ کہاں گئی…؟” وہ خود سے بڑبڑاتا ہوا تیزی سے گاڑی نکال کر ہمدانی صاحب
کے گھر جا پہنچا۔
“زلیخا
کہاں ہے؟” اس نے دروازہ دھڑام سے کھولتے ہی پوچھا۔
ہمدانی
صاحب اور ان کے اہلِ خانہ حیران رہ گئے۔
“بیٹا،
ہمیں کچھ معلوم نہیں… زلیخا یہاں نہیں آئی۔”
بہرام
کے چہرے پر ہوائیاں اڑنے لگیں۔ اس دوران حمزہ بھی وہاں آ گیا۔ وہ سخت پریشان دکھائی
دے رہا تھا۔
“سب
تمہاری وجہ سے ہوا ہے، بہرام!” حمزہ نے چیختے ہوئے کہا۔ “اگر زلیخا کو کچھ ہوا نا…
تو میں تمہیں جان سے مار ڈالوں گا!”
“زلیخا
کہاں ہے؟” وہ غصے سے دہاڑا۔
یوسف
اور موسیٰ نے ایک دوسرے کی طرف دیکھا اور یوسف بولا،
“ہمیں
کیا معلوم؟”
بہرام
کی آنکھیں خون اُگل رہی تھیں۔
“اگر
اس میں تم دونوں کا ہاتھ ہوا نا… تو قسم کھا کے کہتا ہوں… میں تم دونوں کو زندہ نہیں
چھوڑوں گا!”
اسی
لمحے دروازے پر زور کی دستک ہوئی۔ ملازمہ دوڑتی آئی۔
“صاحب…
پولیس آئی ہے۔”
کچھ
ہی لمحوں بعد تین پولیس اہلکار اندر داخل ہوئے۔ انسپکٹر سائم آگے بڑھا اور بلند آواز
میں کہا:
“مسٹر
بہرام، ہمیں آپ کو گرفتار کرنے کا وارنٹ ملا ہے۔ آپ پر بیوی پر تشدد کا الزام ہے۔”
یہ
سنتے ہی بہرام کے قدموں تلے زمین نکل گئی۔ وہ ششدر کھڑا رہ گیا، آنکھوں میں بے یقینی،
چہرے پر ہوائیاں اور زبان پر صرف ایک لفظ:
“ز…
زلیخا…!”
