دوڑ رہی تھی۔ ہانپتی، روتی، مگر ہر قدم میں آزادی کا جذبہ تھا۔

یہ آزادی مکمل نہ تھی۔ چند ہی قدموں کے بعد، اندھیرے میں کوئی سایہ نظر آیا۔
زمین
پر پڑا، زخمی، ساکت — زنجیروں میں جکڑا ہوا ایک وجود۔
جیسے
کوئی اپنا۔
اس
نے قدم روکے۔ دل دھڑکا۔
وہ
دوڑی، جھکی، ہاتھ آگے بڑھائے۔
"میں
آزاد ہو گئی، تمہیں بھی آزاد کر دوں گی!"
لیکن...
زنجیروں
کو چھوتے ہی اس کا ہاتھ لرز گیا۔
جیسے
وہ زنجیریں اب لوہے کی نہیں، اس کے اندر کی بےبسی سے بنی ہوں۔
اس
نے کوشش کی — مگر وہ زنجیریں نہ ٹوٹیں، نہ ہلیں۔
اس
کے آنسو اس زخمی وجود پر ٹپکنے لگے۔

جیسے پھٹنے کو تھا، ہونٹ کپکپا رہے تھے۔

معاف کرنا... میں تمہیں نہیں بچا سکی..."

ٹوٹی، بکھری ہوئی، جیسے صدیوں کی تھکن میں ڈوبی ہوئی۔
وہ
وجود، جو زنجیروں میں جکڑا تھا، بےجان آنکھوں سے اسے دیکھ رہا تھا۔
وہ
صرف آنکھوں سے پکار رہا تھا — شاید مدد، شاید انصاف، شاید نجات کے لیے۔
مگر
وہ کچھ کر نہ پائی۔
"تمھیں
خود کو خود ہی بچانا ہے... اور قید رسم کو ختم کرنا ہے..."
اس
کے لبوں سے سرگوشی نکلی — جیسے کسی اور کی آواز ہو، جیسے کائنات اس سے کچھ کہہ رہی
ہو۔
"تمھارے
علاوہ... کوئی نہیں کر سکتا۔" یہ تمھے ہی کرنا ہے
اچانک
اندھیرا اور گہرا ہو گیا۔
ایسا
لگ رہا تھا جیسے کسی نے روشنی چھین لی ہو، جیسے کائنات نے اپنی سانس روک لی ہو۔
ایک
زوردار چیخ نے خاموشی کا سینہ چیر دیا —
