اٹھی اور واش روم میں وضو کرنے کی غرض سے چلی گئی _

کر کے باہر آئ اور جاۓ
نماز بچھا کر نماز پڑھنے لگی _
ابھی
وہ نماز پڑھ کر فارغ ہی ہوئ تھی کہ آوازیں آنے لگیں
شاید اس کی سوتیلی ماں اسے بلا رہی تھی وہ
بھاگتی ہوئی مہرین بیگم کے پاس پہنچی _
مہرین
بیگم نے اس کے بال پکڑے اور جارحانہ طریقے سے کھینچے _
"منحوس
ماری! کھانا کب بناؤ گی؟"
