"بابا! آپ گھر سے باہر بھی اشعر کی کلاس لینا نہیں چھوڑتے؟"کرنل
حامد نے اسے گھور کر دیکھا، مگر لبوں پر ہلکی سی مسکراہٹ آ گئی۔
"اور تمہیں کیا لگتا ہے، تم بہت قابلِ تعریف کام کر رہے ہو؟"ساحل
نے فوراً معصوم سا چہرہ بنایا۔
"میں تو پیدا ہی قابلِ تعریف ہوا تھا، بابا۔"اشعر بے اختیار
ہنس دیا۔
"تمہیں صرف یہی غلط فہمی ہے۔"
"غلط فہمی نہیں، حقیقت ہے جناب!" ساحل نے شرارت سے جواب دیا۔کرنل
حامد نے دونوں بیٹوں کو دیکھا تو ان کے چہرے پر ایک باپ والی شفقت ابھر آئی۔یہ دونوں
بیٹے ان کی زندگی کا فخر تھے۔چند لمحے خاموشی سے چلنے کے بعد حامد صاحب نے اشعر کی
طرف دیکھا۔
"اشعر، آج تمہاری بَاجی ریحانہ کے گھر بھی تو جانا ہے نا؟"اشعر
نے اثبات میں سر ہلایا۔
"جی بابا، جانا ہے۔"
"تو پھر صبح ہی چلے جانا۔ کافی دن ہو گئے ہیں اسے ملے ہوئے۔ تمہاری
ماں بھی کہہ رہی تھی کہ ریحانہ سے مل آؤ، اس کے بچوں کو بھی تم لوگوں کی کمی محسوس
ہوتی ہوگی۔"اشعر نے ہلکی سی مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ کہا،
"جی بابا، میں اور ساحل دونوں چلے جائیں گے۔"
"دونوں؟" حامد صاحب نے قدرے حیرت سے پوچھا۔
اس سے پہلے کہ اشعر کوئی جواب دیتا، ساحل فوراً بول پڑا۔
