جانب سے بھاری مردانہ آواز ابھری۔ ربیعہ کو ایک لمحے کو یوں محسوس ہوا جیسے فون اٹھا
کر اُس نے غلطی کر دی ہو۔
"ج۔۔۔
جی، کون؟"
وہ
ذرا فاصلے پر ہو کر دھیمی آواز میں بولی۔
"آپ
کون؟"
اُس
کے لہجے کی ہچکچاہٹ نے شاید مخاطب کو بھی الجھا دیا تھا۔
"آپ
کی اطلاع کے لیے عرض ہے کہ کال آپ نے کی ہے، تو آپ کو معلوم ہونا چاہیے کہ میں کون
ہوں۔ مگر مجھے نہیں معلوم کہ آپ کون ہیں، اس لیے میں کال منقطع کر رہی ہوں۔"
اُس
کی آواز میں ہلکی سی سختی اور گھبراہٹ گھلی ہوئی تھی، جسے شاید مخاطب بھانپ چکا تھا۔
تبھی دوسری طرف سے ہلکا سا قہقہہ سنائی دیا۔

کے اس طرزِ عمل پر ربیعہ نے خفگی سے موبائل کو گھورا۔ ابھی وہ کال ختم کرنے ہی والی
تھی کہ دوسری جانب سے آنے والی آواز نے اُسے چونکا دیا۔
