فرحان نے فیصل مسجد کے سامنے بیٹھے ہوئے آسمان کی طرف دیکھا۔ وہ اکثر یہاں آ کر بیٹھتا تھا، لیکن آج کا دن مختلف تھا۔ اس کے دل میں ایک عجیب بےچینی تھی۔ کچھ دنوں سے وہ کسی انجانے جذبے میں گرفتار تھا۔ یہ کوئی عام جذبہ نہیں تھا—نہ دنیاوی محبت، نہ خوابوں کی کوئی کشش۔ یہ کچھ اور تھا، انجانا، گمنام، لیکن گہرا۔
اسی لمحے، مسجد کے مرکزی دروازے سے ایک ہلکی چادر میں لپٹی لڑکی داخل ہوئی۔ وہ سیدھی مسجد کے خواتین والے حصے کی طرف بڑھ گئی، لیکن فرحان کی نظر اس پر کچھ لمحوں کے لیے ٹھہر گئی۔ علینہ۔
یہ کوئی عشقِ نظر نہ تھا۔ وہ کئی بار اسے مختلف مجالس میں دیکھ چکا تھا، لیکن کبھی نظر سے آگے بڑھنے کی ہمت نہیں کی۔ کیونکہ اس کے دل میں جو محبت تھی، وہ اظہار کی محتاج نہ تھی۔
"یہ عشق ہے... یا کوئی اور آزمائش؟"
اس نے خود سے سوال کیا۔
اسی لمحے استاد یوسف کی آواز مسجد کے لاؤڈ اسپیکر سے گونجی:
"جو عشق گمنام ہو، وہی اصل عشق ہوتا ہے۔ جو رب کی رضا کے لیے ہو، وہی دل کو روشن کرتا ہے۔"

کے ہونٹوں پر ایک مدھم مسکراہٹ ابھری۔ شاید اسے اپنے سوال کا پہلا جواب مل گیا تھا۔
و لمحہ بھر کو مسکرایا جیسے زندگی نے اسے ایک پل کی مہلت دی ہو-مگر اسے کیا خبر تھی
کہ یہ مسکراہٹ ایک گہری آزمائش کی دہلیز پر تھی،جس میں قدم رکھتے ہی سب کچھ بدلنے والا
تھا"
