"تم میں سے کھانا کس نے دیا تھا؟" ماریہ نے آرام دہ آواز
میں پوچھا۔ رونے سے آواز بھاری ہو گئی تھی، مگر اب وہ خود پر قابو پا چکی تھیں۔
ایک
ملازمہ، جس کا نام ہیلن تھا، بولی، "میم، میں نے۔"اس نے ڈرتے سہمے ہوئے
کہا۔
"یعنی
تم نے اس کے کھانے میں نیند کی گولیاں ملائی تھیں؟"اسی اطمینان سے پوچھا گیا۔
"ن...
ن... نہیں میم۔"ملازمہ نے بہت مشکل سے چند الفاظ ادا کیے تھے۔
"میم،
رانیا میم اس وقت میرے ساتھ ہی تھیں جب میں نے کھانا تیار کیا تھا۔"
ملازمہ
نے وضاحت دی اور ماریہ نے رانیا کی طرف دیکھا، جس نے سرِ اثبات میں ہلا دیا۔سب
خاموش تھے۔ جانتے تھے کہ ماریہ کو اپنی اولاد عزیز ہے، اور اب اسی اولاد کو مارنے
کی کوشش کی گئی تھی۔
"مجھے
اوپر والے پورشن کی فوٹیج چاہیے۔"
ماریہ نے
عثمان سے یہ کہتے ہوئے اٹھیں اور اپنے کمرے کی طرف بڑھ گئیں، پھر کچھ یاد آنے پر
پلٹیں اور ہیلن کے سامنے آ کر پوچھا،
"وہ
نئی لڑکی کہاں ہے؟"
"فار
گاڈ سیک، مام! وہ بھائی کے آنے سے پہلے ہی جا چکی تھی۔"
رانیا نے
ہیلن کے جواب دینے سے پہلے ماریہ کو جواب دیا۔ماریہ بس سر ہلاتی وہاں سے چلی گئی
تھیں۔
ماریہ
کمرے میں آئیں اور شیشے کے سامنے جا کر کھڑی ہوگئیں۔ وہ اپنے پیچھے سیاہ آنکھوں
والی عورت کو دیکھ سکتی تھیں، جس کے چہرے پر ایک سفاک مسکراہٹ تھی۔ماریہ کچھ دیر
اسے دیکھتی رہیں، پھر بڑبڑائیں،
"تم کیا چاہتی ہو؟"
سیاہ
آنکھوں والی عورت مسکرائی اور بالکل اس کے پیچھے آ کھڑی ہوئی، ایسے کہ ماریہ اب اس
کی آنکھوں کی سفاکیت واضح طور پر دیکھ سکتی تھیں۔
"ان سب کی بربادی۔"
یہ کہہ کر سیاہ آنکھوں والی عورت کمرے کے دروازے سے باہر نکل گئی، اور ماریہ وہیں زمین پر بیٹھ گئیں۔یہ پھر سے ان سب کو برباد کرنے آگئی تھی
