کے کمرے میں ہوا نیلا پینٹ جا بجا سے اکھڑا ہوا تھا۔ کمرے میں اس قدر حبس تھا کہ سانس گھونٹ لے۔ بیڈ کے ساتھ بچھی
چارپائی پر ایک مرد لیٹے تھے جن کے قریب بیٹھی عورت ہاتھ سے پھنکا جھلا رہی تھی۔

وہ صبغت اللہ تھے۔ ہاں وہی تھے۔
اماں
خاتون سے مل رہی تھیں جبکہ میرا دل ڈوب رہا تھا۔ ان کا جسم سوکھ کر کانٹا ہوچکا تھا۔
ہڈیوں کا ایک ڈھانچا تھا جو سامنے چارپائی پر پڑا تکلیف سے کھانس رہا تھا۔ کھانسی کے
ہر جھٹکے پر ان کے منہ سے خون آتا تھا جو وہ پاس رکھے ایک برتن میں تھوک دیتے تھے۔

صبغت اللہ کی پرچھائی لگ رہے تھے۔ اس بار میں کافی دن بعد گھر آئی تھی لہزا میرے لیے
سب حیران کن تھا۔ ہونٹ بھینجتے میں نے ایک گہری سانس خارج کی اور اماں کے ساتھ بیڈ
پر بیٹھ گئی۔

اللہ آنکھ کھول لو، ماہگل اور اس کی ماں آئی ہے۔“
