بات کا یقین کرتا ہوا
کہ
زندگی واقعی ختم ہو چکی ہے۔پھر وہ کھڑا ہوا،بانسری دوبارہ نکالی، اور وہی خاص، لرزہ
خیز دھن بجانے لگا۔
دھن
فضا میں تحلیل ہوئی،،اور اس کے ساتھ ہی وہ آدمی اندھیرے میں غائب ہو گیا۔ جیسے وہ کبھی
تھا ہی نہیں،،
مگر
مصر کی دیواریں سب کچھ دیکھ چکی تھیں۔۔

اچانک
وہ زور زور سے ہنسنے لگا۔
ایسی
ہنسی جو سننے والے کے دل میں خوف اتار دے۔
پھر
اگلے ہی لمحے اس کی ہنسی سسکیوں میں بدل گئی۔

دونوں ہاتھ سر پر رکھے بچوں کی طرح رونے لگا۔ پھر دوبارہ ہنسنے لگا۔ پھر رونے لگا۔
جیسے اس کا ذہن دو حصوں میں بٹ چکا ہو۔
تبھی
باہر سے قدموں کی گھبرائی ہوئی آواز آئی اور ایک عورت تیزی سے کمرے میں داخل ہوئی۔
"آدم!"
وہ
فوراً اس کے پاس گھٹنوں کے بل بیٹھی۔
اس
نے دونوں ہاتھوں سے آدم کا چہرہ تھاما اور اسے اپنی طرف موڑا۔
"ریلیکس،
کچھ نہیں ہوا، پینک مت کرو، تم ٹھیک ہو، دیکھو میری طرف، تم ٹھیک ہو آدم۔"
