کریم سے کوئی بات مت کرنا۔۔ میں بعد میں اسے خود انکار کر دوں گی۔" اس نے نعمان
کو سمجھایا۔
"مجھے
اور کتنا برداشت کرنا ہے؟ اپ کے کہنے پر ادھر آیا اور اپنی تذلیل پر بھی خاموش ہوا،
اب لڑکی کے باپ کے سامنے بھی چپ رہوں۔۔ " وہ غصے سے بولا۔
"اس
نے تمہاری تذلیل نہیں کی۔۔ وہ چاہتی ہے کہ اسے معاشرے میں عزت سے رخصت کیا جائے وہ
کسی کے لئے بلینک چیک نہیں بننا چاہتی، وہ اپنے باپ کی لالچ کے بھینٹ نہیں چڑھنا چاہتی۔۔"
نسیمہ مہربانو کے حمایت میں بولی۔
دروازے
پر ایک بار پھر سے دستک ہوئی۔
"ثریا
دروازہ کھولو اور بھابھی آپ آکر ادھر بیٹھیں کریم کو کسی بھی چیز کا شک نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔۔"
نسیمہ نہیں چاہتی تھی کہ کریم کو اس تماشے کا پتہ ہو وہ اپنے بھائی کے غیض سے واقف
تھی۔
سکینہ
نے مہربانو کو ملامتی نظروں سے دیکھا۔ اور باہر نکل گئی۔
"
مہر تم نے غلط کیا۔۔ تمہیں معلوم ہے نہ کہ یہاں انکار کی کیا قیمت چکانی پڑتی ہے۔۔!"
ہر بار کی طرح اس بار ثریا نے بھینس کے آگے بین بجائی۔
سکینہ
نے دروازہ کھولا۔ کریم کے ایک ہاتھ میں سموسے
اور جلیبی کی شاپر تھی اور دوسرے میں کلہاڑی۔۔
"بہت
دیر کردی آپ نے؟" نسیمہ بھائی سے ملنے آگے ہوئی اور نعمان کو بھی اشارے سے آنے
کا کہا لیکن وہ نظرانداز کر گیا
"ہاں
راستے میں محمود ملا تھا۔ اس نے اپنی امانت مجھے دی۔۔" کریم نے اپنے دوست کا حوالہ
دیا اور سامان سکینہ کو دیے کلہاڑی نیچے زمین پر رکھ کر وہ بہن سے بغل گیر ہوا۔
"نعمان۔۔"
نسیمہ نے نعمان کو پکارا تو وہ کریم کے پاس آیا۔
"اسلام
و علیکم انکل۔۔" اس نے کریم کو لٹھ مار انداز میں سلام کیا۔
کریم
اس سے ملنے آگے بڑھا تو نعمان نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے انکار کیا۔ سکینہ اور نسیمہ کے سانسیں
اٹکی ہوئی تھی کہ کہیں وہ کریم کو سب بتا نہ دے۔
"آپ
کی بیٹی اس رشتے سے راضی نہیں۔۔ سچ بتاوں تو مجھے بھی یہ شادی نہیں کرنی۔۔ اور سب سے
بڑی بات کہ آپ کی لالچ دو لوگوں کی زندگی تباہ کر رہی ہے۔" اس نے دو ٹوک انداز
میں اپنی بات کریم تک پہنچا دی۔۔
