"عالیہ!
کہاں رہ گئی تھی تم؟" "وہ چاچو.." اس کی بات حلق میں ہی رہ گئی۔
"پھوپھی کے نقشِ قدم پر چلنے لگی ہے، اور یہ
دیکھیے لڑکا بھی ساتھ لے آئی ہے، کون ہے یہ؟" انداز خاصہ غیرمعقول تھا۔ ارمغان
کو کچھ سمجھ نہ آیا۔
"چاچی، یہ ارمغان سر ہیں، مجھے چھوڑنے آئے ہیں۔
یہ میرے.." اس نے بتانا چاہا۔
"لو جی! ابھی چار دن ہوئے ہیں دفتر جاتے ہوئے
اور لڑکے چھوڑنے آ رہے ہیں، وہ بھی اس وقت؟ دیکھ رہے ہو بھتیجی کے کارنامے؟" حلق
سے زہر اگلا۔
"
آپ ایسے بات نہیں کر سکتے،" وہ بول پڑا۔
"دیکھیے
آپ جائیے یہاں سے، یہ ہمارے گھر کا معاملہ ہے،" چچا نے کہا۔
"آپ
نے خود اپنے گھر کے معاملے میں مجھے گھسیٹا ہے، اب یہ میرا بھی معاملہ ہے۔ آپ یقیناً
عالیہ کی امی تو نہیں ہیں ورنہ ایسے کبھی نہ بولتیں۔"
"سر،
آئی ایم سوری، آپ جائیے،" اس نے شرمندگی سے کہا۔ وہ آگے ہی عاصم کی وجہ سے بہت
پریشان تھی اوپر سے یہ سب۔ ثانیہ وہاں موجود ہوتی تو یہ تماشہ نہ لگتا۔ "خود لائی
ہو تو اب جانے کے لیے کیوں کہہ رہی ہو؟" وہ پھر سے بولی۔
"میں ان کا باس ہوں، دیر ہو گئی تھی اس وجہ
سے انہیں چھوڑنے آیا ہوں۔ مگر معذرت، بہت ہی چھوٹی سوچ ہے آپ کی بیوی کی۔ مگر آپ تو
چچا ہیں نا، یہ بیٹی ہے آپ کی، آپ چپ کھڑے سن کیسے سکتے ہیں؟" وہ اب عالیہ کے
چچا سے مخاطب تھا۔
"مس عالیہ، میں چلتا ہوں مگر کردار پر بات خاموشی
سے نہیں سن لیتے۔ اپنا دفاع کرنا سیکھیں۔" چشمہ لگاتا وہ باہر نکل گیا۔
عالیہ بھاگ کر کمرے میں چلی گئی۔ باہر سے اب بھی آوازیں آ رہی تھیں۔
"دیکھا کیسے پٹیاں پڑھا رہا تھا؟ دیکھنا ایک
دن یہ لڑکی کوئی چاند چڑھائے گی، میں بتا رہی ہوں۔"
"بس کر دے خدا کا واسطہ ہے، بخش دے اس بچی کو،
کیا بگاڑا ہے اس نے تیرا؟"
