ہال میں سرگوشیاں شروع ہو گئیں۔

حارث نے چند لمحے اسے غور سے دیکھا، پھر سنجیدگی سے بولے،
"اگر
تمہارے پاس واقعی کوئی قابلِ اعتماد ثبوت ہے تو اسے پیش کرو۔"
طالب
علم نے سر ہلا کر لیپ ٹاپ پروجیکٹر سے منسلک کیا۔
ہال
کی روشنیاں مدھم کر دی گئیں۔
ایک
لمحے کے لیے پورے آڈیٹوریم میں ایسی خاموشی چھا گئی کہ لوگوں کی سانسوں کی آواز تک
سنائی دے رہی تھی۔
ولی
نے بےفکری سے کرسی کی پشت سے ٹیک لگا لی۔
اُشنا
کے لبوں پر بھی ہلکی سی مسکراہٹ تھی۔

روشن ہوئی اور جیسے ہی ویڈیو میں گیزیبو کا منظر سامنے آیا، اُشنا کے چہرے کی مسکراہٹ
لمحہ بھر میں غائب ہو گئی۔

کی آنکھیں بےاختیار پھیل گئیں۔

میں ان دونوں کی آوازیں بالکل واضح سنائی دے رہی تھیں۔

ایک افواہ نے دونوں کی پوری ساکھ ختم کر دی"

میں مکمل خاموشی چھا گئی۔
پھر
ولی کی آواز گونجی،
"لوگوں
کو ثبوت نہیں چاہیے ہوتا، صرف شک کافی ہوتا ہے۔"
اب
ہر نگاہ ولی اور اُشنا پر جم چکی تھی چند لمحوں بعد ویڈیو میں ولی کا اگلا جملہ سنائی
دیا،
"ابو
کے پاس ریکارڈ روم کی اضافی چابی تھی"
یہ
الفاظ سنتے ہی پورے ہال میں جیسے دھماکا ہو گیا۔
طلبہ
حیرت سے ایک دوسرے کا منہ دیکھنے لگے۔
پروفیسر
حارث اپنی جگہ سے کھڑے ہو گئے۔
ہیڈ
آف ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے چہرے کا رنگ بدل چکا تھا۔
جبکہ
پروفیسر حکیم کا سر بےاختیار شرم سے جھک گیا
اور
اُشنا اور ولی کو پہلی بار احساس ہوا کہ جھوٹ چاہے کتنی ہی صفائی سے بولا جائے، سچ
کے سامنے کھڑے رہنے کی ہمت اس میں کبھی نہیں ہوتی۔
