دریائے
سوات کے کنارے وہ اکیلی کھڑی تھی۔ پانی کی ہلکی لہریں اس کے پاؤں کو چھو رہی تھی، اور
ٹھنڈی ہوا اس کی چادر کو ہلکا سا لہرا رہی تھی۔ وہ مکمل طور پر چادر میں لپٹی ہوئی
تھی اس کا چہرہ ڈھکا ہوا ، مگر آنکھیں ، اس کی سبز رنگ آنکھیں تھیں جو دن کی روشنی
میں چمک رہی تھی اور انہی کی لمبی مڑی ہوئی پلکیں اسے مزید خوبصورت بناتی تھی. وہ دور
سے کھڑا مبہوت سا اُن آنکھوں کو دیکھتا گیا۔ وہ وہاں سے چلی تو اس نے بھی پیچھے قدم
بڑھائے ابھی وہ چلا ہی تھا کہ یکدم سے کسی کی آواز آئی،
"برہان ؟ " وہ دوبارہ چلنا شروع ہوا کہ
اچانک سے ٹھنڈے پانی کا جگ اس کے منہ پہ کسی نے ڈالا تو وہ ہڑبڑا کر اٹھا "اٹھ جا برہان صبح کے گیارہ بج رہے ہیں۔"
اس
کی ماں سعدیہ برہان کو گھورتے ہوئے بولی پہلے تو برہان کی سمجھ میں نہ آیا کہ اس کے
ساتھ ہوا کیا ہے پھر اس نے اپنی گیلی شرٹ کو دیکھا اور پھر بالوں میں ہاتھ پھیرا تو
بولا
"یار امی یہ پانی والا مذاق نہ کیا کرے میرے
ساتھ۔۔" وہ جھنجھلایا
"ہاں
جو ماں تجھے اٹھا اٹھا کر پاگل بنی ہوتی ہے اس کا کیا۔؟"
پھر
انہوں نے برہان کو غور سے دیکھا جو ایک دم ہی خاموش ہو گیا تھا وہ اس کے پاس بیٹھی
"کیا ہوا پھر سے خواب دیکھا۔۔؟"
اس نے اثبات میں سر ہلایا تو سعدیہ نے اس کو گھورا "نہ جانے کون سی
لڑکی ہے یہ جس کو خواب میں دیکھتا رہتا ہے بے شرم نہ ہو تو۔"
برہان
ہنسا "امی میں نے آپ کو بتانا ہی نہیں ہے اب سے کچھ۔۔"
