"بہری ہو کر بیٹھی ہو کیا؟ کب سے آواز
دے رہی ہوں مگر مجال جو سن لے۔ اور یہ ڈائجسٹ، ادھر دو اسے۔۔"انہوں نے آتے ہی
اس پر طعنوں کا حملہ کر دیا اور ڈائجسٹ چھیننے کی ناکام کوشش کی۔
"امی بہت مزے کا سین چل رہا ہے بس آخری
سین پڑھنے دیں ناں۔۔"اس نے ڈائجسٹ کو سختی سے دبوچ رکھا تھا۔
"آج ہی اس ڈائجسٹ کو بند کرواتی ہوں آ
لینے دو اس ڈائجسٹ والے کو اس کی بھی ٹانگیں توڑوں گی اور تمہاری بھی۔ اور یہ
دیکھو زرا۔۔ اللہ میرے! سارے مالٹے کھا گئی تم۔۔ میں نے کہا تھا بہن بھائیوں کو
بھی دینا۔۔"ڈائجسٹ کو بھول کر اب وہ مالٹوں کی ٹوکری دیکھ رہی تھیں جس میں
سات میں سے بس تین مالٹے بچ گئے تھے۔
"اوہ وہ پڑھتے ہوئے دھیان ہی نہیں گیا
کہ اتنا کھا گئی۔۔ چلیں اب دوپہر کا کھانا نہیں کھاؤں گی۔"اس نے ڈائجسٹ کو
اپنے پیچھے رکھ کر ٹوکری اٹھا لی۔
"ایک منٹ سے پہلے اٹھو اور نیچے جا کر
جھاڑو لگاؤ۔۔ یہ صحیح کام پکڑ رکھا ہے تم نے پورا دن دھوپ سینکنے کے بہانے اوپر
بیٹھی رہتی ہو تاکہ کوئی کام نہ کرنا پڑے۔۔ اب اٹھ رہی ہو کہ میں جھاڑو
پکڑوں۔" اس کے برابر چارپائی پر بیٹھتے ہوئے انہوں نے اسے سختی سے کہا۔
اس ساری جھاڑ کو سن کر وہ گہری سانس
لے کر اٹھی اور مالٹوں کی ٹوکری بھی ہاتھ میں اٹھا لی۔
"اب یہ کہاں لے کر جا رہی ہو۔۔ رکھو
ادھر۔۔ اور زینی کو اوپر بھیجو۔"اس کے ہاتھ سے ٹوکری وہ لے چکی تھیں۔
اور وہ دھپ دھپ کرتی سیڑھیوں سے اترنے
لگی۔
نیچے آکر زینی کو اوپر جانے کا کہنے
ہی والی تھی وہ پہلے سے ہی سیڑھیوں کی طرف آرہی تھی۔
"کدھر جا رہی ہو؟" اس نے بھنویں
آچکا کر پوچھا۔
"تمہاری اور امی کی آواز پورے محلے کے
ساتھ ساتھ مجھے بھی سنائی دے گئی تھی اسی لیے اوپر جا رہی ہوں۔۔ ہٹو
پیچھے۔"اس کو پیچھے کرتی وہ اوپر چلی گئی۔
"بدتمیز کہیں کی۔۔ بڑی بہن سے بات کرنے
کی تمیز نہیں۔۔ امی سمجھا لیں اسے ورنہ مجھ سے کچھ سن لے گی۔"آخری جملہ اس نے
اونچی آواز میں کہا۔
"تم چپ کر رہی ہو یا میں آؤں
نیچے۔۔" امی نے اوپر سے آواز لگائی تو منہ میں بڑبڑاتی جھاڑو لگانے لگی۔
