باتوں میں مصروف تھیں۔ان کی اس کی طرف پیٹھ تھی اس لیے وہ اس کو دیکھ نہیں سکیں۔ لیکن
اس کی تیکھی آواز سن کر وہ دونوں ہی بری طرح سے چونکیں۔
”نہ
سلام نہ دعا۔! تم میں تمیز نام کی کوئی چیز ہے کہ نہیں۔؟ تمہاری مامی آئی ہوٸی
ہے اس وجہ سے تمہیں بلایا __ وہ تم سے ملنا چاہتی تھیں ' لیکن تمہیں تو کوئی لحاظ ہی
نہیں۔ ساری تمیز بھول گئی ہو تم۔۔“ زرینہ بی کو اس کے بدتمیزی بھرے اندز پر بڑا غصہ
آیا تھا ' وہ اسے غصے سے ڈانٹتے ہوئے بولیں۔۔۔
وہ
مشی کی ان عادتوں سے بہت تنگ آ چکی تھیں۔
بانو
مامی کا چہرہ بھی خفت سے سرخ ہو گیا۔
”ارے
کوئی بات نہیں زرینہ آپا۔! میں کونسا مہمان ہوں۔روز ہی تو آئی رہتی ہوں، نہ ڈانٹو
بچی کو۔“ بانو مامی نا چاہتے ہوئے بھی مشی کے دفاع میں بولیں۔
”ٹھیک
ہے! اگر مجھ میں تمیز نہیں ہے تو آپ اپنی تمیز دار بیٹیوں سے ملوا لیں اپنی
پیاری بھابھی کو۔“ وہ جو اتنی دیر سے چپ کھڑی تھی، ماں کے منہ سے اتنی باتیں ساری سن
کر بدتمیزی کے سارے اگلے پچھلے ریکارڈ توڑ کر بولی۔ بانو مامی تو اُس کی اتنی بدتمیزی
پر ہکا بکا رہ گئی۔کیونکہ اس نے مشی کو اس انداز میں بات کرتے آج پہلی بار سنا تھا۔
”مشی دفع ہو جا توں میری نظروں کے سامنے سے۔!“ وہ بس اتنا ہی بول سکیں تھی۔بھابھی کے سامنے خفت مارے اُن کا سر جھک گیا تھا وہ بدتمیزیاں تو پہلے بھی بہت کرتی تھی، لیکن کبھی بانو کے سامنا ایسا نہیں ہوا تھا۔
