”رُبیحہ،
حضرت ابراہیمؑ کی پیدائش ایسے شہر میں ہوئی جہاں پتھر تراشے جاتے تھے، انہیں سنوارا
جاتا تھا، ان کے سامنے جھکا جاتا تھا، اور پھر انہی سے مانگا جاتا تھا جنہیں انسان
نے خود اپنے ہاتھوں سے بنایا تھا۔“
رُبیحہ
خاموشی سے سن رہی تھی۔اسکی سیاہ آنکھیں سنتے وقت چمک رہی تھی اسکی چہرے سے معصومیت
صاف جھلک رہی تھی۔
”یہ
وہ زمانہ تھا جب سچ سب سے زیادہ اجنبی ہو چکا تھا۔ جھوٹ کو روایت کا درجہ حاصل تھا،
اور باطل عبادت کے لباس میں چھپا ہوا تھا۔“ دادا جان نے ہلکی سی سانس۔
”مگر
اس شورِ باطل میں حضرت ابراہیمؑ کا دل سوال کرتا تھا۔ ”من ھو اللہ ؟“ ان کے اندر ایک
بےچین سوچ پلتی تھی جو چیز خود انسان بنائے، وہ خدا کیسے ہو سکتی ہے؟“
رُبیحہ
کی پلکیں لرزیں، مگر اس نے سوال نہیں کیا۔
”ان
کے والد بھی بت بنانے والوں میں شامل تھے۔ گھر میں بت تھے، بازار میں بت تھے، عبادت
گاہوں میں بت تھے۔ مگر ایک چیز جو حضرت ابراہیمؑ کے دل میں نہیں تھی، وہ اندھی تقلید
تھی۔“ دادا جان لمحہ بھر کو رکے۔
”وہ
بچپن سے ہی سوال کرنے والے تھے۔
یہ
کیوں؟ یہ کیسے؟ یہ سچ ہے بھی یا نہیں؟
وہ
سوچتے تھے اگر یہ بت میرے رب نہیں ہے تو
من
ھو اللہ؟ میرا رب کون ہے؟“
