ارسا نے ایک بچے سے پوچھا تم بڑے ہو کر کیا بنو گے؟

بچہ ہنسا میں بڑا ہو کر زہیر استاد بنوں گا سب کو اچھا بننا سکھاؤں گا!

 

پھر ایک اور چھوٹے لڑکے نے کہا

میں بڑا ہو کر امی کو خوش رکھوں گا وہ روتی ہیں تو دل دکھتا ہے۔”

 

ارسہ نے آہستہ سے پوچھا کیوں روتی ہیں تمہاری امی؟

ابا شہر میں کام کرتے ہیں کئی دنوں سے واپس نہیں آئے…

بچے کی آنکھیں نم ہو گئیں۔

 

ارسا نے اس کے سر پر ہاتھ رکھا

وہ جلد آئیں گے اور تمہاری امی پھر مسکرائیں گی۔

 

جب وہ اسکول سے نکلی تو زہیر نے کہا

تمہارے دل میں سب کا درد سماتا ہے ارسا بی بی۔

رات کو جب وہ رقیہ کے گھر واپس آئی تو رقیہ آنگن میں چپ بیٹھی تھی۔

ارسہ نے پوچھا کیا ہوا رقیہ؟ خاموش کیوں ہو؟

رقیہ نے نظریں جھکالیں کچھ خاموشیاں بول نہیں پاتیں بی بی جی، مگر دل میں شور مچاتی ہیں۔

میرے شوہر شہر گئے تھے روزگار کی تلاش میں… واپس لوٹے تو بیمار۔

اب بس میں یہ گھر اور یہ پرانی یادیں ہیں۔

 

ارسا کے لبوں پر سکوت چھا گیا۔

اُس نے رقیہ کا ہاتھ تھاما اور نرمی سے کہا

تم تنہا نہیں ہو رقیہ۔ میں سن رہی ہوں... تمہاری کہانی تمہارا دکھ - سب۔ رقیہ نے پہلی بار مسکرا کر کہا پتا ہے بی بی جی میں نے برسوں بعد دل کی بات کہی ہے۔

 

لگتا ہے جیسے دل ہلکا ہو گیا ہو...

 

ارسا نے چاند کی طرف دیکھا - وہ چمک رہا تھا مگر آج اُسے لگا کہ تارے بھی دکھائی دے رہے ہیں۔

 

زبیر کی آواز اس کے ذہن میں گونجی .

 

کبھی کبھی چاند کو چھوڑ کر تاروں پر بھی نظر ڈال لیا کرو...

 

وہ مسکرا دی۔

 

شاید وہ واقعی اب زندگی کے چاند سے ہٹ کر انسانوں کے تارے دیکھنے لگی تھی۔
