"بابابرے انسان نہیں ہیں، دادا جان…"
شیہباز چوہدری نے اس کی طرف دیکھا۔
"بس… شاید آزاد رہنے کے اتنے عادی ہو گئے ہیں کہ کسی ذمہ داری
کے ساتھ زیادہ دیر بندھے نہیں رہ پاتے۔"
ایک لمحے کو خاموشی چھا گئی۔
ہوا کا جھونکا نیم کے چند خشک پتے زمین پر بکھیر گیا۔
احتشام نے دھیرے سے بات آگے بڑھائی۔
"گھر کی فکر انہیں بھی ہوتی ہے۔ ہر بار فون پر سب کا حال
پوچھتے ہیں۔ میرے بارے میں بھی، آپ کے بارے میں بھی…"
وہ ہلکا سا مسکرایا۔
"فرق صرف اتنا ہے کہ وہ فکر دل میں رکھتے ہیں، نبھانا نہیں
جانتے۔"
شیہباز چوہدری نے گہرا سانس لیا۔
"اور جو نبھانا جانتا ہے…"
ان کی نگاہ احتشام پر ٹھہر گئی۔
"…وہ خود اپنی جوانی جیتا ہی نہیں۔"
احتشام نے مسکرا کر نظریں جھکا لیں۔
"اگر اللہ نے ذمہ داری دی ہے تو طاقت بھی وہی دے گا۔"
اس کے لہجے میں نہ شکوہ تھا، نہ بوجھ۔
صرف قبولیت تھی۔
شیہباز چوہدری کی آنکھوں میں نمی سی اتر آئی، مگر انہوں نے
فوراً نظریں دوسری جانب پھیر لیں۔
"اللہ تمہیں سلامت رکھے، برخوردار۔"
انہوں نے آہستہ سے احتشام کے کندھے پر ہاتھ رکھا۔
"اس گھر کو تم نے سنبھال رکھا ہے… ورنہ نہ جانے کب کا بکھر
چکا ہوتا۔"
احتشام نے احترام سے دادا کے ہاتھ پر اپنا ہاتھ رکھ دیا۔
"گھر ایک آدمی سے نہیں سنبھلتے، دادا جان…"
وہ دھیرے سے بولا۔
"اپنوں کے ساتھ اور دعاؤں سے سنبھلتے ہیں۔"
