“میرا ہاتھ چھوڑو… چھوڑ دو مجھے! میں یہ شادی
ہرگز نہیں کروں گی!”
“ابّا… مجھ پر ترس کھائیں، خدا کے لیے مجھ پر
رحم کریں۔ میں آپ کی بیٹی ہوں۔ صرف ایک بار… صرف ایک بار میری بات سن لیں۔ یہ جھوٹ
بول رہا ہے، میں اس کے ساتھ نہیں گئی تھی۔ یہ مجھے زبردستی اپنے ساتھ لے گیا تھا۔”
“امّاں… آپ تو یقین کریں…”
وہ اُن کے قدموں میں گری، سسک سسک کر رو رہی تھی۔
“مجھے سب پتا ہے۔”
وہ چونک گئی۔ سہارا لے کر خود کو سنبھالنے کی کوشش کرتے
ہوئے بولی،
“آپ… آپ جانتے ہیں؟”
“ہاں، تم میری بیٹی ہو، اور تم ایسا کچھ نہیں
کر سکتی۔ لیکن میں تمہارا باپ ہوں… اور مجھے ہر فیصلہ کرنے کا حق حاصل ہے۔”
“آپ کہنا کیا چاہتے ہیں؟”
“تم نے میرے فیصلے کے خلاف جانے کی ہمت کیسے کی،
نازنین؟ مجھے تم سے یہ امید ہرگز نہیں تھی۔ آخر تم میں اتنی جرأت آئی کہاں سے؟”
“ابّا… میں ہاتھ جوڑتی ہوں، یہ شادی رکوا
دیجیے۔ میں یہ شادی نہیں کرنا چاہتی…”
“کیا کہا تم نے؟ دوبارہ کہنا!”
نازنین کے والد نے غصّے سے اُس کے بال مٹھی میں جکڑ کر
اُسے کھڑا کرتے ہوئے کہا۔
“تمہاری زندگی کا فیصلہ میں کر چکا ہوں۔ اگر
تم بھاگنے کی کوشش نہ کرتیں تو شاید تمہیں کچھ مہلت مل جاتی، مگر اب تمہاری سزا
یہی ہے کہ کل شام، سورج ڈھلتے ہی، تمہارا نکاح اُسی شخص سے ہوگا جس سے طے پایا
تھا۔ سورج کے غروب ہوتے ہی تمہاری زندگی کی ہر خوشی کا چراغ بجھ جائے گا… اور پھر
تم اپنے کیے پر پچھتاؤ گی۔”
