کرنا، مسٹر شاہ..."اس نے
مصنوعی سنجیدگی سے کہا۔
" آج چائے کے ساتھ کھانے کے لیے میرے پاس کچھ نہیں
ہے۔"شاہ کے
لبوں پر نہ چاہتے ہوئے بھی ایک مدھم سی مسکراہٹ آ گئی۔چند لمحے بعد وہ دھیرے سے بولا،"آپ کے پاس
آج اپنا ڈوریمون والا بیگ نہیں ہے..."اس نے پہلی بار اس کی طرف باقاعدہ
دیکھا۔
"...ورنہ یقین
جانے اس میں سے کچھ نہ کچھ ضرور نکل آتا۔"
شاہ کا اشارہ اس کے یونیورسٹی والے بیگ کی طرف
تھا..."..
ہاں یہ تو
ہے لیکن تم غددارے وطن ہو کیونکہ تمھیں
چائے پسند نہیں ہے اس لیے تمھیں سزا کے طور پر یہ چائے ایسے ہی پینی پڑے گی "روح
بےاختیار ہلکا سا ہنس دی۔پھر خاموشی سے سامنے دیکھنے لگی۔اور اگلے ہی لمحے...ان دونوں
کے درمیان ایک بار پھر خاموشی اتر آئی۔
روح نے
چند لمحے خاموشی سے اپنے ہاتھ میں تھامے چائے کے کپ کو دیکھا۔
پھر نظریں
اٹھا کر دھیرے سے پوچھا،"کیا کہا ڈاکٹر نے؟"شاہ نے
جواب دینے سے پہلے اپنے ہاتھ میں پکڑے چائے کے کپ کو دیکھا۔اس سے اٹھتی بھاپ آہستہ
آہستہ ہوا میں تحلیل ہو رہی تھی۔وہ چند لمحے خاموش رہا۔پھر مدھم آواز میں بولا،"بابا کو
ڈبل والو ڈیزیز ہے۔"یہ کہتے
ہوئے اس کی انگلیاں کپ پر مزید سختی سے جم گئیں۔
روح کا دل
بےاختیار دھڑکا۔اسے فوراً اپنے بابا...جعفری صاحب کا ہارٹ اٹیک یاد آ
گیا۔ وہ بھی ہارٹ پیشنٹ تھے ۔شاہ نے نظریں جھکائے ہی کہا،
"ڈاکٹر نے
کہا ہے..."وہ ایک
لمحہ رکا۔"...سرجری
ہوگی۔"اس کا
انداز نا رمل تھا ۔روح نے آہستہ سے ایک گہرا سانس لیا۔پھر بغیر کچھ کہے اپنا ہاتھ
اس کے کندھے پر رکھ دیا۔شاہ کا سانس ایک لمحے کو اٹک گیا۔اس کے ہاتھ میں پکڑا کپ
مزید مضبوطی سے اس کی گرفت میں آ گیا۔
وہ بالکل
ساکت بیٹھا تھا...جیسے روح کے ہاتھ کا ٹھنڈا لمس اس کے پورے وجود میں دوڑ رہا
ہو۔
روح نے
نرمی سے کہا،"تم پریشان
مت ہو۔""تمہارے
بابا بالکل ٹھیک ہو جائیں گے۔"اس کی آواز میں ایک عجیب سا یقین
تھا۔"بس ان کے
لیے دعا کرنا۔"وہ ہلکا
سا مسکرائی۔"میں نے
سنا ہے...ما ں باپ
کے حق میں اولاد کی دعا کبھی رد نہیں ہوتی۔"
