سرد
ہوا چل رہی تھی۔ پتوں کی سرسراہٹ ہر طرف... ہواؤں کا شور، پتوں کا شور۔
لیکن یہ شور "انار" کے لیے گانا تھا۔
دوسری لڑکیاں اندھیری رات سے ڈر جاتی ہیں۔ انار کو یہ اندھیرا دوست لگتا تھا۔کیونکہ اس تلخ اندھیرے میں اس نے کئی سرد راتیں گزاری تھیں۔ ان پتوں کے ساتھ اس کی دوستی تھی۔ جب دنیا نے دھتکارا، تو ان پتوں نے اس کے آنسو چھپائے تھے۔
انار
معاشرے کے اس حصے سے تھی جسے لوگ "ذلت" دیتے ہیں، "عزت" نہیں۔
وہ
خواجہ سرا تھی۔
لیکن
دنیا کو نہیں پتا تھا۔
دن
کو انار برقع پہن کے Library جاتی، رات کو چھت پہ بیٹھ کے
ستاروں سے باتیں کرتی۔
اس
کا ایک ہی خواب تھا: "کاش میں اپنی جیسی سب لڑکیوں کے لیے گھر بنا سکوں۔ جہاں
کوئی انہیں کھسرا نہ کہہ سکے
"کاغذ کا ٹکڑا یا میری پہچان؟"
سورج سر پہ تھا۔ نادرا آفس کے باہر لوہے کی گرل والی لائن میں "انار" کھڑی تھی۔ 6 گھنٹے ہو چکے تھے۔ پاؤں سوج گئے تھے، حلق خشک۔ پانی کی بوتل تھی بیگ میں، مگر ڈر تھا کہ لائن سے نکلی تو دوبارہ 6 گھنٹے لگ جائیں گے۔
کورٹ کا فیصلہ جیب میں تھا۔ جج صاحب نے کہا تھا: 'انار، آج سے تمہیں ریاست تسلیم کرے گی۔' مگر ریاست کا دروازہ... نادرا کا کاؤنٹر نمبر 3... ابھی بہت دور تھا۔
باری
آئی۔ عینک والا کلرک فائل دیکھ رہا تھا۔ انار نے کانپتے ہاتھوں سے فارم آگے بڑھایا۔
آواز حلق میں اٹک رہی تھی: 'ص-صاحب... جنس کے خانے میں X
لکھ دیں۔'
