منحوس! ابھی تک ناشتہ نہیں بنا؟"_ نسرین چچی کی آواز کچن میں گونجی۔ _"کھاتی
ہمارا ہے، سوتی ہمارے گھر میں ہے، پر کام میں موت پڑتی ہے۔"_

العین نے سر جھکائے رکھا۔ _"چچی بس تیار ہے۔ لاتی ہوں۔"_

ہے؟"_ چچی نے پراٹھے کی پلیٹ اٹھائی اور زمین پر پھینک دی۔ _"یہ دیکھ تیرا
تیار۔ ٹھنڈا ہو گیا ہے۔ دفع ہو جا۔ نیا بنا۔"_
فرش
پر گرے پراٹھے کو دیکھ کر نور کا دل کٹ گیا۔ رزق تھا۔ مگر زبان سے ایک لفظ نہ نکلا۔
خاموشی سے جھاڑو اٹھایا اور صاف کرنے لگی۔
*دوپہر
2 بجے*
گھر
کی صفائی، کپڑے دھونا، برتن۔ سب کر کے جب مدرسے جانے لگی تو سعد راستے میں کھڑا ہو
گیا۔
_"کہاں
چلی؟"_ لہجے میں خباثت تھی۔
_"سعد
بھائی... مدرسے۔ بچیوں کو پڑھانا ہے۔"_ نور نے نظریں جھکا لیں۔
سعد
نے دیوار سے لگا دیا۔ بازو مضبوطی سے پکڑا۔ _
"بیس
سال کی ہو گئی ہے تو۔ کب تک بھاگے گی مجھ سے؟ اماں ابا مان گئے ہیں۔ بس تیری ہاں باقی
ہے۔"_
نور
العین کا جسم کانپ گیا۔ _"چھوڑیں مجھے۔ خدا کے لیے چھوڑیں۔ میں آپ کی بہن جیسی
ہوں۔"_
_"بہن؟"_
سعد نے قہقہہ لگایا۔ انگلیاں بازو پر اور سختی سے گاڑھ دیں۔ _"بہن ہوتی تو اب
تک میرے بستر میں نہ ہوتی؟"_
