اپنی جگہ خود بنا لیتے ہیں۔”

ہوا پھر چلی—

اس بار ذرا تیز۔

درختوں کے پتے ہلے—

اور روشنی آہستہ آہستہ مدھم ہونے لگی۔

وہ اس کے ساتھ کھڑا تھا—

پہلی بار—

بغیر کسی فاصلے کے احساس کے۔

“اور اگر…”

اس نے آہستہ سے کہا،

“…یہ رشتہ بھی ویسا ہی ہو…؟”

وہ ہلکا سا مسکرائی—

“…تو پھر شاید—

میں نے تمہیں چنا نہ ہو…”

وہ رکی—

پھر اس کی طرف دیکھ کر کہا—

“…مگر اب

میں تمہیں چھوڑوں گی بھی نہیں۔”

خاموشی۔

اس بار—

مکمل۔

وہ اسے دیکھتا رہا—

اور پہلی بار—

اس کی آنکھوں میں

وہ سردی نہیں تھی۔

دور کہیں اذان کی آواز گونجی—

ہلکی، نرم، اور پرسکون۔

شام رات میں بدلنے لگی۔

اور اس بدلتی روشنی میں—

اب

محسوس ہونے لگا تھا۔
