“لے آئے ہو؟“چندہ بائی نے لڑکی کو دیکھا جسے وہ
اب اس کے دیوان پر ہی پھینکنے کے سے انداز میں آڑا ترچھا لٹا چکا تھا۔ “یہ شیخ
کامال آگیا. اب دھیان سے اور احتیاط سے شیخ کے مال میں بددیانتی تمہیں نقصان
پہنچائے گی۔ بس خیال رکھنا۔“ وہ بندہ سیگریٹ سُلگاتا ایک نظر اپنے سامنے بیٹھی ہوئی
عورت کو دیکھ کر بولا۔
“ہائے
ہائے میں کون سا ایسا کرنے والی ہوں.“چندہ بائی نے پان کے پچکاری تھوک دان میں پھینکی اور عجیب سی ہنسی ہوا میں
اچھالی۔
”یہ
اس کا تو نقاب نہیں اتارا تم نے؟„
اس
بار بازار میں اکمل نے حوالے کیا ہے اسے جلدی میں اسے گاڑی میں ڈالا اور لے آئے
اور بھی بھئی ہم کو تو لگتا ہے شیخ سے ڈر۔
اور اتنی بے تابی کیا ہوئی آنا تو اس نے یہیں ہے۔ یہ لو تمہارا حصہ! بوس نے جیب سے
کچھ رقم نکال کر چندہ بائی کی جانب بڑھائی۔ “ہمارا حصہ تو ہمیں مل چکا اکمل کو بھی
اس کا حصہ دے آیا ہوں یہ نہ ہو کمینہ پھر لینے آ دھمکے۔ اس بار تو اپنے ہی خاندان
پر ہاتھ صاف کیا ہے اس نے۔“
ہیںںں؟ بڑا ہی کمینہ نکلا وہ تو.
”پھر
گن لو پیسے چندہ بائی. شیخ کو میں نے فون کر دیا ہے۔چار دنوں تک ٹینکر جائیں گے
بہری جہاز کے ذریعے اسی میں اس کو بھیجنا ہے بس اس کو تھوڑا سمجھا بجھا دینا۔ زیادہ
ڈرامے بازیاں شیخ کو پسند نہیں ہے اور ویسے بھی اپنے حرم میں رکھنا ہے اُس نے
اسے۔“
“ٹھیک
ہے بس. اب جاؤ یہاں سے ہمارے مہمانوں کے آنے کا وقت ہے اور تمہارا حلیہ ہماری شان
و شوکت پر برا اثر ڈال رہا ہے۔“
”جا
رہا ہوں، جا رہا ہوں چندہ بائی پھر آؤں گا۔“
بوس
چلا گیا تو چندہ بائی نے اپنے سامنے پڑے ہوئے بے سدھ وجود کو دیکھا اور چنبیلی کو
آواز دی۔
